The achievements and impact of Voice to the People (V2P) in Nigeria have been captured on celluloid, as the first phase of one of Christian Aid’s flagship voice and accountability programmes concludes.

V2P supported vulnerable communities to hold governments and their leaders to account, and to raise their voices to demand rights and services.

Delivered by a consortium of national and regional organisations led by Christian Aid, V2P worked directly with more than 60,000 people in Anambra State and reached 2.5 million indirectly.

In the film, Wilf Mwamba, from DFID Nigeria, which funded the two and half year programme, says:  ‘Programmes that enable citizens not only to hold leaders to account but also partner with them to bring that development to their communities are very important.’
